Conclusion

Flickr, RSS Feeds and Wikis are my favorites. I'm not a Techno person, but these web tools opened my eyes. I am going to spend many months exploring these sites because I know I only scratched the surface. The staff enjoyed the whole process, when I hit a roadblock they helped out and I shared most of the process with them . With these tools I'm hoping to give our Library more exposure.

The only down side is keeping track of all the passwords.

I would gladly participate in another discovery program.

Wikis provide information on a broad variety of subjects, its a valuable tool in viewing collaborations from a variety of groups. These resources can be time saving when you see how others have solved a problem in a similar situation. This is a great way of pooling expertise in different fields.

Tagging and Social Bookmarking

Bookmarking and tagging will be a great tool for research and being able to organize the information with a tag will save alot of time. The potential to share with others and to learn from their bookmarks and comments could be limitless. I'm looking forward to cleaning up my favorites list and finally having some order on my computer.
